Billing Analyst

Alliance Telecom is seeking a Billing Systems Analyst for our project in Denver, CO.  The Billing Systems Analyst will manage enhancements for the billing systems.  When new enhancements are requested, will be required to do an assessment of the requirements and what will be required to create the new functionality for the legacy and new billing platform.  Below is a detailed job description for the exciting opportunity.  

REQUIRED SKILLS:

·        Wireless billing system implementation or enhancement experience required.  Systems analysis, not requirements analysis.  

·        Understanding of the general structure of wireless billing systems and what modules will be impacted by change.  That means they will need to understand the data flow well enough to be able to assess the impact.   They need to determine if this is a minor or major change.

·        Some project / vendor management experience is required.  

·        Ability to create a project plan with action items tied to dates.  

·        Excellent communication skills.  This person will interface with Billing Vendor, Business customers, Billing Integrator, and the PMO group.

·        Presentation skills using PowerPoint or other tools to provide the assessment analysis results in an understandable manner.  

DUTIES:

·        Do an assessment of the legacy billing data as it exists and assess how to convert it.  Should they just move customers as new accounts by having them go to a store, or do a conversion?

·        Work with the Product group to map the acquired rate plans to current rate plans. 

·         Determine how much customer history to convert – 3 months, 6, 1 year, none? 

·        In addition to this project, the person may get pulled into other enhancement projects, and will certainly do so after the conversion. 

·         This is a combination of analyst some PM responsibilities.  This person will focus on evaluation of the data flow and the impacts of changes on the old and new billing system.  

·         There will be Project / vendor management as Billing Vendor will actually do the development work.  This person needs to produce an assessment of the impact on the billing project schedule, and also the integration effort required? 

·         Produce an assessment of the impact of the enhancement and create a document that can be shared or collaborated with the development people.
