IT Project Manager

Telecom Solutions
is seeking an IT Project Manager for our project in
Anchorage, Alaska, to drive the process to replace or
upgrade our client’s dispatch system. The Project Manager will drive the vendor
selection, RFP, and implementation phase of the project.
The dispatch systems ties into many areas, such as
geo-mapping, trouble ticket and work force management of
the field force and inventory.
This
is a 9-month consulting project which provides a decent
rate along with reimbursement for expenses to include
flights, lodging, local transport and per diem. The selected PM for this role will
work 3 weeks on site and 1 week remotely for the rotation
schedule of this project.
REQUIRED
SKILLS:
· Senior-level
Project Management experience in Telecom (5-10 years)
· Fixed
network related Project Management experience and
knowledge of the elements of dispatch in fixed networks
would be helpful
· Software
system
selection project management experience is required, as
that is the process the PM will be driving
DUTIES:
· Manage
the project schedule and key activities
· Requirements
development
· Writing
and issuing the RFP
· Creating
the vendor comparison matrix with weighting, and
evaluating the proposals against the requirements matrix
· Managing
the testing process
·
Managing
the vendor during the implementation
· Managing
the client activity needed to coordinate and connect other
systems to the new dispatch system
